Rigline was born from a simple observation by 22-year-old founder Townsend Tanner. As an avid fisherman growing up in Raleigh, North Carolina, Townsend realized the fishing industry lacked a reliable, modern way to collect and analyze trip data.
While studying Finance at LSU (Class of 2025), Townsend decided to take matters into his own hands. Teaching himself to code in his free time, he set out to build the tool he wished he had on the water.
The result is Rigline—a platform built by a fisherman, for fishermen, bridging the gap between traditional angling and modern data analytics.
